Frequently asked questions
What is it, exactly?
A real live video call with Saint Nicholas. He knows what you prepared (first name, little things you are proud of this year, details), listens to your child and answers, like in a real conversation.
Call or video message: what's the difference?
The call is a live conversation: Saint Nicholas listens to your child and answers. The video message is recorded for them, to watch whenever you like, with no conversation.
What age is it for?
From 1 to 12. With the very little ones, Saint Nicholas talks very simply, sings a little and also speaks to the parent. Older children can ask him their own questions.
Will my child think it is the real Saint Nicholas?
You decide how you talk about it, just like the letter or the shoes by the fireplace. On our side, it is clearly stated before you buy and shown on screen for the whole call.
How long is the call?
About 5 minutes. Saint Nicholas says goodbye on his own, without cutting your child off mid-sentence.
Which device, and what connection?
A phone, tablet or computer with a recent browser (Safari on iPhone and iPad, Chrome on Android). The browser will ask you to allow the microphone. A good connection: Wi-Fi if possible, or good 4G/5G. Turn the volume up and pick a quiet spot.
Is it artificial intelligence?
Yes. Saint Nicholas is a character brought to life by AI, with a face and a voice created just for him. He is never presented as a real person on camera.
How does Saint Nicholas always stay gentle?
His “brain” is an AI model known for taking safety seriously, with its own built-in protections. We add two more: rules written for children, and a second check of every sentence before it is spoken. You read the conversation on screen and can ask him to say goodbye at any moment. Any feedback? We read every message and reply quickly.
Can Saint Nicholas see my child?
No, never. Only the microphone is used for the call: Saint Nicholas hears your child but never sees them.
Is it recorded? What do you keep?
We do not record the call, and we never ask for a photo or a date of birth. The first name and details stay on your device until the call and are not kept afterwards. We only keep your e-mail and payment, and a technical receipt of the call (with nothing about your child) in case of a dispute. Against fakes, each call has a number, and for 30 days we keep an unreadable fingerprint of each of the Saint's sentences: never his sentences, never anything your child says. Read all about privacy
Can my child use it alone?
No. The service is for parents, not for children: an adult buys and prepares the call, and an adult stays with the child for the whole call. You confirm this by ticking a box when you prepare the call. You hear everything, read the conversation on screen and can hang up at any time.
What if the line drops?
Simply open the link again: you can call back twice within 30 minutes, for the time that was left (at least 2 minutes).
Who was Saint Nicholas?

All three: you choose the language of the call when you prepare it.

No, never. He can talk about your child's wish list with warmth, but he promises nothing: the surprise stays yours.
